Kay Twitchen

Kay Twitchen is a member of the Board of the Environment Agency.

She has been an Essex County Councillor since 1989 and currently chairs the Council’s Environment and Planning Policy Development Group. She is also a non-executive Director of WRAP (The Waste and Resources Action Programme) and a member of the Sustainable Development Commission of the Committee of the Regions.

Kay is an Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management, and in 2003 was awarded an OBE for services to Local Government.
